11th July 2008
Windsurfing: levington
Wind Direction: sw
Wind Stength: 20+ mph
Surf / Sea State: bumpy
Air Temperature: 70
Sea Temperature:
Weather: gusty sun rain
Max Speed: 23 knots (knots - unless stated otherwise)
Distance Covered: 2.5 hrs (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)

I looked at Manor end at the tarmac carpark and it was sw very good force 5- 20 + but there were signs saying do not use beach safety work etc, so I look at fludg and dip and it was dead offshore. I stayed at the dip and it pissed down, took a wind reading and it was 8mph
so I went Lev.
Tide was up, it was blowing its ass off 23mph F5 but a bit gusty so it sometimes hit 25 +.
Pete Paul (rog's son) and 2 wave heads sailed.
Stupidly I rigged 7.0M thinking its bound to drop as the evening closed in. Nil points for what happened next, it never dropped so I was mullard for 2 hours, (should have rigged 6.0M)
and my back is now ruined.
Pete swapped between 6.5 and 5. something, and his small and slightly larger board, he had a bloody good sail, Paul went thru' his sail again, so thats 2 sails on consecutive sails plus he has another at home he went thru!
He had 5. something to rig but it was either maxed or struggle so it was gusty at times. Pete did the best run 25knots I only managed 23k again because I could not sheet in.
It was bumpy but and in the bay it was outragiously windy. Pete had a great time, with the wave heads, and Paul would have been good with the 6.0M had he not head butted it into oblivion!
Wished I had rig 6.0M....glad u had a good time but it looked offshore to me so I know I would have struggled at the fludg so thank christ for levington.
